Sunflower oils are cold-pressed. This method entails minimal processing and produces a light, flavourful oil suitable for cooking. The manufacturing process involves cleaning the seeds, grinding, pressing, extracting the oil and further refinement.

 

Volatile hydrocarbons such as hexane are used for oil extraction. Refined sunflower oil is perfectly clean and all nutrients are preserved during the production process. This oil can be used at very high cooking temperatures.

 

Some other uses of sunflower oil include the production of margarine, canned food manufacturing, soap boiling and paint and varnish industry processes. All products comply with and satisfy requirements of the Ukrainian State Standard 4492:2005 and ISO 22000.
